Mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges for "Pretty in Pink"

Hi there!

Golly, we're half way through October already - soon be Christmas ahhhhhhh!!!!

It's time for me to give you the mid month reminder for our challenge this month which is "Pretty in Pink" for breast cancer awareness month.

For this card I've used the lovely Lustrous stamp by Penny Black 40-545.

The background is one that I've made myself using spray inks and cling film with some top spraying. The sentiment and little swirls were just added from my stash.

I have used a lovely deep pink to colour the stamp - it has come out darker on the photograph than it actually is - no matter how hard I tried, it seemed to come out the same colour - but I like it so I went with it!

Do come over and join us with this month's challenge :-

There are prizes to be won!

Please remember that we are a hand stamping challenge, no digi stamps allowed - the main focal image of your artwork must be a hand stamped image.

Thanks for stopping by,

New theme for Penny Black and More Challenges - Pretty in Pink

Hello there!

It's a new month and it's a new challenge for Penny Black and More and this month the theme is "Pretty in Pink" (breast cancer awareness month).

I have created this card using the Dynamic stamp set 40-516 and the butterfly is off of the Penny Black Garden Charmers set 30-415.

I have thrown everything pink at this one!  I started with Cherry Soda embossing powder (Stamps by Chloe) and there's plenty of Pearlywinks wink vibes hot pink sprayed and painted with too!

Sentiment is from my stash and highlights with a white pen.

Hope you can come and join us at Penny Black and More Challenges this month:-

Please remember that this is a hand stamping challenge and your main focal image of your design must be a hand stamped image.  No digi stamps please.

My samples for the new Pink Ink Farmyard series........

Morning!!

Well, time once again gets the better of me but you'll see from the samples below that I've been very busy in my crafting world!

This week saw Pink Ink release their new farmyard series and they just keep getting better and better.  Not only are the stamps the best quality that i've ever worked with but there is no end to what you can do with them from normal stamping to heating for use with Angelina Fibres.

So, this release features Cool Mule, Pigtastic, Henpecked and Cow's It Going.

I have attached all the samples that I've done so far but without a shadow of a doubt, there will be many many more made with these quirky characters!!!

A bit of a photo heavy post but I do hope that you enjoy catching up to what I've been up to over the past month.

Mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges for "Animals"

Good morning!

Well, we're half way through September so I'm here to remind you about this months Penny Black and More Challenge which is "Animals".

I went my usual way with this one "off piste!!!" - well, who wants to be "normal"!!!!

I've used the lovely set called Animal Wisdom by Penny Black 30-352.  I reversed one of the sheep to make this in to a lovely anniversary card - could be an engagement card or if you really want to be different, a wedding card too - especially if it's one of those country style barn weddings!!!

I have created the background with oxides and stamped the foliage from the Penny Black Delicate Silhouettes set 30-417.

The sentiment is completely out of my head and computer generated.

Backing papers have been created by myself using Pearlywinks sprays - great fun!

Please be reminded that Penny Black and More Challenge is a hand stamping challenge and the main focal image of your artwork must be that of a hand stamped image, not a digi or die cut.

Please do come and join us at Penny Black and More:-

There are prizes to be won!

New theme at Penny Black and more - Animals

Good morning!

Here I am with a sample that I've made for Penny Black and More Challenges new theme this month of "Animals".

I've used Penny Blacks Natures Friends 30-261 and Restful 40-567.

Just two tones of blue have been used on this card, distress oxide Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean.

The main sentiment was one from my stash to compliment the peace and joy that I've stamped around that back mat which is also from the Natures Friends set.

Do come and join us over at Penny Black and More Challenges:-

Remember there are always prizes to be won.

BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE MAIN FOCAL IMAGE OF YOUR CREATION MUST BE A HAND STAMPED IMAGE.  NO DIE CUTS OR DIGITAL IMAGES AS YOUR MAIN FOCAL POINT WILL BE ALLOWED.

Well, that's another Christmas card done!

Thanks for stopping by.

Mid month reminder at Penny Black and More Challenges for "for boys and men"

Morning!!

Here I am with your mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges for this months challenge theme of "for boys and men".

Now, I know this is primarily pink and green but some men like pink right? - My husband loves to wear pink tops, shirts and shorts!!!

I've used my new Penny Black stamp again for this sample which is 40-604 Wiz and just at the edges included the die cut trees which are 51-270 Beneath the Birches by Penny Black.

I've created a distress oxide background and coloured him in with Spectrum Noir aqua markers and just like my sample at the beginning of the month, I've allowed the ink to bleed slightly which I think is a fabulous inky look.

Do come and join us at Penny Black and More Challenges, you've got until the end of the month to join in and there are prizes to be had:-

Please remember that this is a hand stamping challenge and the main focal point of your artwork must be that of a hand stamped image, no digital images are allowed.

Luna Fairy for entry in to Stamping Sensations Challenge this month..........

Hi there,

Here is another of my Luna Fairy samples and I'm including her in her own blog entry so that she can be entered in to the current Stamping Sensations challenge of anything with wings.  Well, I thought we have fairy wings, butterfly and I think that's a pretty moth with wings too!

So here's a detailed description of how I got there with this one:-

Luna is such an enormous stamp that this time I decided to show that you don't have to use the whole of a large stamp if you want to make a near normal size of card. This has started life on a 7 x 7 inch piece of watercolour card and popping Luna down to one side enabled me to take the card down in size and gave me enough room to add other elements with her.

A distress oxide background and Luna is coloured with Zig clean color markers (which I am so enjoying using at the moment - they are so vibrant).

The small flowers and book down at the front have been 3D'd on 3D glue gel but that doesn't show too well on a photograph.

Mat and layered with black and a nice shiny hot pink mirror card.

I would like to add this to the entries for this months challenge at Stamping Sensations of things with wings:-

This one was great fun and made me smile - it's a "happy card"!!!
