Hi there, twice in one day....... can you believe it!!!!!

I'm having myself some "me time" today so I've not only joined in at Allsorts Challenge this week but I've joined in with Stamping Sensations Challenge too!

Their theme this month is April Showers Bring May Flowers:-

I've taken quite some consideration time on this one building the scene as I went and obviously starting on a blank piece of card stock and working from the rain drops inwards through the scene.

Here we have some April showers and a wonderful new stamp of mine of the man and his dog from Rare Earth.  I've built the scene using the bridge (also Rare Earth) these are from the A Day at the Park set.  The trees are from Woodware and the flowers are from Rubber Dance.  The moody April sky is using brushos and the river and ground has been coloured using distress oxides and Zig pens.

There, April showers are bringing on the May flowers!

Enjoyed having some peace and quiet while building this one up bit by bit.

Something feminine..........

Hi there!

I found myself with a bit of rare spare time today so I thought I'd play along with the challenge over at Allsorts.  Their theme this week is Mother's Day or Feminine:-

What a liked about this challenge this week is that it took me a little way out of my comfort zone but I like a challenge and that's the whole point isn't it!!!??

So, getting all inky as usual, I used an absolutely beautiful stamp by La Blanche here (I have no idea what it's called as it just doesn't say!).  The background is done with brushos, the hair and dress are coloured with aqua pens and that border is also a lace border by La Blanche.

Finished with an organza bow I thought this would pass as my feminine entry for this week.

Lets delve into my world of inkyness with some Pink Ink samples .....

Morning!

Well, I hope you got to see the Pink Ink shows on Sunday.  I'm sharing some more of my samples here with you today.

The first one is the beautiful Old Salt.  Coloured with Zig Clean Color pens and backed on to a piece of mop up paper towel! - made a marvellous background!

The second one is Bird Sprite coloured with aqua pens on a distress oxide and brusho background.  The wings are acetate with silver embossing powder.

The third creation is the Dragon on a distress oxide background and coloured with my Zig Clean Color pens.

Some samples for tomorrows tv shows..........

Good morning!

Can you believe it, that's a hat trick this week!!!! Well, we're gearing up to tomorrows shows on Hochanda and these are the first of many samples that I'll be sharing this week with you.

The first is one of my all time favourite stamps my old mate "Old Salt".  My goodness, I've used some stamps in my time but he is a real beaut! Here I have stamped and painted him on to a tote bag using Cosmic Shimmer fabric paints.

The second is the Lion with watercolours.

The third is the Sea Turtle on a sparkle pen background and coloured using Kuretake Zig Clean Color pens.

I'll share a few more of my samples over the coming days,

Some more Pink Ink Designs creations................

Good morning!

Here I am as promised with a few more of my own personal makes using Pink Ink Designs stamps.

The first one is Oakwart coloured with watercolours.

The second one is the Elephant with a brusho background and coloured with diluted brushos.

The third is the Hare on fabric framed within an embroidery hoop.  I've coloured this is Cosmic Shimmer fabric paints.

I'll pop back tomorrow with some sneaky peeks of some samples that I've done for the Pink Ink shows on Hochanda on Sunday and the 2nd May shows.

My new journey with Pink Ink Designs.....

Hi there!!  

Well I've settled well with Pink Ink Designs as one of their new design team and I thought I'd share with you some of my creations that I've been doing over the past few weeks.

Pink Ink Designs originated with designs on fabric and their stamps are so suited to working with fabric so you'll see me sharing some of my fabric makes over the coming weeks.

Here are three makes, the first, the Flamingo is on fabric and framed within the embroidery hoop.

The second is Neptune with watercolours.

The third is is the Meadow Hare.

Mid month reminder at Penny Black and More Challenges for this months challenge - Springtime!

Hi there!

It's time for my mid month reminder for this month's Penny Black and More Challenge of

Springtime.

As with my first sample at the start of this month, I have used the gorgeous Penny Black 30-415 Garden Charmers with Penny Black's 30-419 Happy Wishes stamp sets.

Coloured with distress oxides and I have added a touch of crystal glaze in the centres of the flowers and a dot in the centre of the bird's eye.

I mounted the two butterflies and a flower on to some silicone glue to 3D those too.

New Theme at Penny Black and More - Springtime!

It's a new theme over at Penny Black and More challenges today and our new theme for this month is

Springtime.

I personally love Spring (I love Autumn too) as it shouts new growth and new life to plants and trees, to birds and to the fields that surround me here at home.

I have created this sample for the new theme using the Penny Black 30-415 Garden Charmers stamp set and the sentiment is from Penny Black's 30-419 Happy Wishes.

Coloured in distress oxides and Spectrum noir harmony ink pads.
