Positive Mind...........

Good morning folks!

Well, I need to take a spoonful of my own medicine with this one I think - I've just been over ran with being so very busy over the last week or two that I think I need to keep my own mind in that "positive mind, positive vibes and positive life" status!!!!!

This was a quick make that I did between art calls and thinking positive as I always try to do, I came up with this design! Wouldn't it be nice to be laying on that hammock in the garden with nothing to do but read that book!!! Pitty the weather is turning now leaving the Summer behind us and bringing on the Autumn which in itself, brings us the beautiful colours that no other season can compare with.

Some Rubber Dance stamps have been used here along with Stamp Addicts and some Sue Wilson ivy dies.

Love a bright background and a silhouette!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Smile it's a beautiful day..................

Morning!

Well, was this fun or what!!!!!  Inspired by the Cards in Envy "it's a heat wave" and the Sweet Stampin "Outdoors" challenges.   I went for hot colours and summer holidays!!!!!!

Ok, I did a step by step for you on this one so lets start with the background -

I've made my usual start with a blank piece of white card and applied some aqua tints in lovely warm colours.  I've faux bleached out a sun and then stamped the sunglasses in perfect medium and then embossed with black embossing powder.  The stamps used are all from Clarity stamp.

Then in comes the scene! I masked off the glasses and stamped the car and caravan with palm trees within the lenses.  I was thinking warm, heat, holidays!!!!!!

I removed some of the colour from the lenses by adding some water with a paint brush and dabbing with a paper towel.  Stamped the sentiment "Smile it's a beautiful day" and added some more birds then added glossy accents to the lenses to make them nice and shiny.

Ta dah!!! I was really pleased with that!

A really fun card to make and a great theme too!

I would like to enter this card in to the Cards in Envy "It's a heat wave" challenge.

My first blog entry "Happy Birthday Boys"

Well, this is my first entry for my new blog.  A birthday card made for my two Golden Retrievers - it was their second birthday on 14th June!  Did they open their own card, sure they did!  I opened the envelope and they pulled it out!!!!!

I had fun with this one because I already had the perfect stencil - one of Sheena Douglass's stencils.  I have used Distress Inks for the background rubbed with a smoothie and stamped some foliage around the front for balance.  A simple hill from a piece of ripped paper and a moon added with white colour box ink and given depth with a charcoal pencil when dry.

I love my beautiful boys (sometimes more than my children!!!!!!!) Hope you like this one. Nice to play when it's not intended for a human at all so there was no judgement when it was given!

"Happy Birthday Boys!" Lots of love Mumma xx
