Happy 50th Birthday James!

Morning!

I'm having a personal share this morning.

Husband James was 50 (shhh!!) back in the middle of July so I've made room here on the blog between my other scheduled posts to show you my makes for his "big birthday".

Cars and militaria are right at the top of James's hobby list so of course, they had to reflect on these subjects.  So did his gift (tickets to Goodwood Festival of Speed) and his cake!

Hope you like them - James certainly did!

Mid month reminder at Penny Black and More Challenges....

Morning!

Well, we're half way through August so it's time for the mid month reminder over at Penny Black and More Challenges.

This months theme is "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B" and this time my 

"B" is butterflies, blooms and the colour blue!

I have used the Penny Black stamp 40-099 Soft Wings for my butterflies, stamped twice with Sheena's Douglass's sparkle pens direct to stamp technique and the colour drawn out - gives you a lovely hand painted effect - (unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, I can't get the beautiful sparkle from the pens to show on a photo).

Background is distress oxide and the lovely little flowers are Penny Black 30-284 Sprigs with the 30-419 Happy Wishes set for the sentiment.

Floral corners and bling!

Morning!!

Three creations for you this morning using Sheena Douglass's floral corner stamps and dies and Imagination Crafts Starlights paints, Just Pearls and Alchemy waxes.

New theme at Penny Black and More Challenges, "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B"....

Hi there!

Sharing a make today that I've made for Penny Black and more Challenges and their new theme this month of "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B".

I've used Sheena Douglass's sparkle pens on this one along with Penny Black stamps - 30-416 Happy Thoughts (used only one word from a sentiment from this set), 40-571 Feathers and Twigs, 40-340 Etched Branches and 51-397 Antique Frame die set.

My thoughts here were B for Blue Tit, bird, branches, brambles, beak, blue and brown!

Three makes for you today using Donna Ratcliffs fairies and the new Harmony ink pads from Spectrum Noir.

Made these samples for Crafters Companion for launch on HSN in America and they'll be coming to the UK so don't panic - at the moment of scheduling this post, I just don't know when!

In Full Bloom Corner Dies and Stamps Inspiration....

I'm here with some creations that I recently made using Sheena Douglass's In Full Bloom perfect partners dies and stamps.  I have created these samples using Imagination Crafts Starlights, Just Pearls and Alchemy waxes and had great fun!

Two cards and a piece of home decor framed.

Mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges - "Things with wings" ....

Good morning!

It's mid month reminder time over at Penny Black and More Challenges for our theme this month of "Things with wings".

This card is similar to my first sample card for this months theme in that I've used the new Spectrum Noir aqua tint pens direct to my stamp technique and then pulled in the colour with a damp brush.

A distress oxide background has been added on here too,

I've used Penny Black stamps - 30-416 Happy Thoughts for my sentiment and 30-095 Flower Festival for my flowers, butterfly and dragonfly.
