Mid month reminder at Penny Black and More Challenges - Going round in circles.

Morning!

Here I am with a mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges for our challenge theme this month of "Going round in circles".

Please remember that we would like to see circular mats and layers as well as circular cards too please.

This cute Easter card was created using Penny Black's 40-059 Easter march stamp set.

I've coloured it in using distress oxides (my favourite!) and stamped that back mat with just the sentiment.

Finished with some lovely Nuvo vintage drops.

Do come and join in the fun at:-

Please remember that the main focal image of your creation must be a hand stamped image.  Digital images are not allowed on this challenge.

New fun with Stampscapes....

Good morning!

A quick share today of what I've been playing with this week.

I've discovered Stampscapes which are a large range of scenic element stamps that you can mix and match and build up beautiful scenes with.

Imagine it as somewhere you've been or more likely, somewhere you'd like to be!

These are created on glossy card stock with dye based inks, I've had great fun and have a huuuuge wish list for this company because as you build your scenes you think, i need a tree, I need a bush, I need a church, I need some birds!!!!!!

Hope you like them, these are a stampers dream.

King for a Day......

Hello there!

Golly, I'm on a roll this week!!! (I've managed to find me some "me time" over the past few days and I'm making the most of it because it won't last!!!!

As you will have seen by now, I'm in the middle of having lots of fun with the new Pink Ink Designs stamps and the new lion is a beauty.  I noticed that Stamping Sensations have the theme of "over the rainbow" this month and what better stamp to use to use all of those rainbow colours. I don't know if he's full of rainbow pop art or ready for Mardi Gras!!!!!

Coloured with aqua markers, distress oxides to colour the back mat and finished with some small diamante gems for his crown.

I found myself singing "red and yellow and pink and green, orange and purple and blue, I can sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow, sing a rainbow too" - anyone else remember that one?!!! - to make sure I had used all the rainbow colours!!!

I shall share this one with my friends over at Stamping Sensations for their challenge this month of "Over the Rainbow":-

Hope you like him, he sure is a king for the day.

Make a Wish..............

Good morning!

I'm up bright and early to share a card that I made yesterday (well, what better way to spend your wet and windy afternoon than in the nice and warm craft room!).

I made this card for the Allsorts Challenge this week of "For a child".

Now, I absolutely adore mystical characters and what better than a nature spirit - a Hobgoblin!  These make me smile, unlike goblins who are rather fearsome characters, hobgoblins are more rather mischievous and harmless characters and usually up to no good!  They are often found in fairy tales and are usually a miniature elf/goblin/fairy type and usually never have any feet and appear within structures as this one does appearing from a tree trunk.

This stamp set is called Woodbeard and is one of Pink Ink Designs new stamp sets.

I have stamped the main image which indeed is a huuuuge stamp and coloured with aqua markers and then I have cut lots of the other stamps in the set and also coloured those with aqua markers and have used 3D glue gel to raise them off of the card. Ive added the sentiment of Make a Wish but do you think he'll grant it?? ..........no probably not!!!!!

Suitable for a child of perhaps 8 years and upwards, I absolutely adore these characters and I don't know why but he always makes me smile!

I shall be entering Woodbeard in to this weeks Allsorts Challenge:-

I hope you like this one as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by today,

A medley of my recent makes...........

Good morning!

Well, this is a rare opportunity these days but I've found myself a few moments to share some of my recent makes.

For those of you who don't know, I decided to step down from Sheena Douglass's design team at the end of February.  It wasn't a place that I wanted to be anymore and to be honest, I wanted to get back to crafting so I will be doing special projects for Crafters Companion for now.

Here are some of my recent makes, and I have enjoyed doing things at my own pace once again!!!

You will still see my Penny Black makes twice a month so have no fear of that!!!

 Pink Ink Designs

Sebastian - Lavinia Stamps

Hot foiling with the Crafters Companion foilpress

White embossing and watercolour with Sheena's Hydrangea

Lavinia Stamps

A play with BEE-utiful by Pink Ink Designs.

Sorry to bring you all up to date all at once both with my crafting journey and my personal makes but I am always so short of time!

New theme at Penny Black and More Challenges - Going round in circles.

Morning!

It's a new theme over at Penny Black and More Challenges today and we're "Going round in circles!".

So this month we'd like to see more than just circles, we'd like to see round mats and layers and round/circular cards please.

Here I've created a circular easel card for you using the fabulous 40-587 Young love Penny Black stamp.

The sentiment is from Penny Black's Happy thoughts set 30-416.

Coloured using distress oxides and matted on the a lovely pale blue glitter card - perfect for a masculine or feminine card don't you think?
