Mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges for "Animals, birds and butterflies"..........

Morning!!

Half way through February already so it's time to give you my reminder about this months challenge over at Penny Black and More Challenges for our theme this month of "Animals, birds and butterflies".

My sample today was great fun and I stepped it up a bit for a more modern and on trend approach.

I've used the gorgeous Penny Black stamp 40-606 All Fours and felt it needed little more than a fabulous inky background on which to mount the cut out image. My background is spray inks, a stencil from my stash and some circles from old bottle lids.  The sentiment comes within the same stamp set.

What a fab stamp set for both an older person or a very young trendy one too!!!!

Don't forget to come over and join us :-

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOUR MAIN FOCAL IMAGE MUST BE A HAND STAMPED IMAGE, NO DIGITAL IMAGES ARE ALLOWED AND DIE CUTS MUST NOT BE YOUR MAIN FOCAL IMAGE.

A play with Lavinia stamps....

Hi there,

A quick post today showing you what I've been up to between DT work.

I love my Pink Ink DT work and my Penny Black makes but I also love to have my own play with my other stash when I get the chance.

Here I have used Lavinia stamps with a sprayed background both normal ink sprays and lustres.  Finished with posca pens and pastel pencils.

A touch of vintage......

Hi again, twice in one day - you don't see many of those!!!

I'm sharing a make that I've created for this weeks Allsorts Challenge theme of "A touch of vintage".

I chose to follow my love of vintage florals.

Here I have had lots of fun with my Pearlywinks ink sprays.  Not only did I spray the background with vintage teal, vintage brown and blue spritz but I painted everything on here with them too. I even sprayed the lace to match!  I love the vintage feel that blues and greens give you when mixed with browns.

I have used the Rose Bloom stamp set by Stacey Barras for Crafters Companion.

With some string, seed beads and sequins, a handmade with love wooden button and hessian ribbon I was done!

I shall pop this in to this weeks Allsorts Challenge of a touch of vintage:-

Thanks for dropping by to see two posts today!

Keeping it feminine.............

Hello there!

I have found time over the last couple of days to make a couple of creations for online challenges (so I may be sharing a second make later today with you!!).

This card I have made for this months theme of Feminine at Stamping Sensations.

I have used a wooden mounted stamp by dk Designs for Impression Obsession called Swing Girl.  Background was created with Spectrum Noir sparkle pens so the whole background has a super sheen to it.  Sentiment is by Inkylicious and I thought it was perfect to think of the wind through the trees when swinging from that tree. Grasses are by Lablanche and the tree is a Two Jays one (turned upside down!).

I thought this was beautifully feminine, I can remember as a small child, the many hours spent in the garden on my swing - no computers or tablets, just swinging in the breeze.

I shall enter this in to the Stamping Sensations Challenge of Feminine:-

I do hope that you like it, feminine with personal memories of a childhood enjoyed.

New theme at Penny Black and More "Animals, birds and butterflies".......

Good morning!!

It's the first Sunday in February so that means a new theme over at Penny Black and More Challenges!!  This months new theme is "Animals, birds and butterflies!".

As a super keen animal lover, this one was right up my street!

For my sample today I've used one of the images from the gorgeous Penny Black stamp set 30-457 ...So Loved.  The sentiment is from PB 30-416 Happy Thoughts, the Leaf Frolic stencil 25-019 is an old Penny Black favourite and the lovely sunflowers are the PB stamp 40-312 Sunny Pair.

Colouring is with my Koi brush pens and some distress oxide inks.

Do come over and join us for this lovely theme this month :-

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT WE ARE A HAND STAMPING CHALLENGE SO THE MAIN FOCAL IMAGE OF YOUR DESIGN MUST BE A HAND STAMPED IMAGE - NO DIGITAL IMAGES ARE ALLOWED ON THIS CHALLENGE AND DIE CUTS MUST NOT BE THE FOCAL IMAGE.

There are prizes to be won so good luck!!
