Mid month reminder at Penny Black and More Challenges.....Christmas!

Hi there!

I'm here today with your mid month reminder for our theme at Penny Black and More Challenges which this month is Christmas!

On this sample I've used the lovely Penny Black stamp 40-660 Lantern and the sentiment is from Penny Blacks stamp set 30-387 Festive snippets. (Tree branches are from my own stash, moon has been done with a circular mask just cut from some masking paper).

I think this is a lovely stamp, it isn't just for Christmas either but could be used on a spooky design for Halloween or added to any creation really if it suits it! To me it said Christmas hanging on the branches. It's quite different don't you think and I do lean towards things that are different - never been called "normal"!

The sentiment went perfectly with the lantern I thought.

Coloured with a distress oxide background and the lantern has been coloured with Zig clean color markers and the glass has been finished with glossy accents but unfortunately that doesn't show on the photograph.

A simple design but effective and it makes that lantern pop which is what I was trying to achieve.

Please do come and join us at Penny Black and More Challenges:-

and do remember that we are a hand stamping challenge so your entry must have a hand stamped image as it's main focal feature.

Thanks for stopping by,
Leanne xxx

  2. The lantern makes a lovely seasonal card Leanne but I can see exactly what you mean that it would adapt for other occasions.
