Paint fusion samples for Sheena Douglass..............

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing some art work that I've done for Sheena Douglass using her paint fusion stamps and paints.

All these samples were created for HSN (Home Shopping Network) in America.

Have a browse - see what you think......

The first one is an 8 x 8 card, the rest are on small mdf board shapes and the last one is a paper mache heart shaped box.

Paint fusion is the mixture of more than one colour of paint (usually an acrylic base) on your paint brush and painting with the two colours at once - hence, fusing the paint colours together - paint fusion.  Sheena has some ranges of stamps that you stamp first and then paint fusion over them to form what you can see here.  For those of you that have never tried this before, it does take practice but you can buy practice sheets too that show you how the strokes can work together.

A small insight in to what I've been up to recently!

Hope you like it,

Mid month reminder for Penny Black and More Challenges.

Good morning!

Here I am with some inspiration for our mid month reminder over at Penny Black and More Challenges for our theme this month of "Feature a Creature".

Stamped with versa fine black and grey inks and embossed with clear embossing powder I started with the Penny Black stamp 40-567 "Restful".

I have then coloured in the scenery with my Spectrum aqua pens and taken out some of the colour to form the clouds.  The sentiment is from Penny Black 30 - 416 "Happy thoughts" and the deer are from Penny Black 30-261 "Natures friends" which I have cut out and applied with 3d glue gel.

Please come over and join us at Penny Black and More Challenges for this months challenge of "Feature a Creature" BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE MAIN FOCAL IMAGE OF YOUR CREATION MUST BE A HAND STAMPED IMAGE - NO DIGITAL IMAGES ALLOWED.

There are prizes to be won for the winners!!!!

Many thanks for stopping by today,

Stay on the path you have chosen..........

Hi there!

I had great fun creating this one!  With a little forward planning, stage by stage this card came together.

I've made this card for the Allsorts Challenge this week of fairy tales and with the help of Sheena Douglass's lovely stamps I've produced Little Red Riding Hood walking through the woods to Grandma's house with big bad Mr Wolf looking on.

The little girl is quite an old stamp of Sheena's and the spooky house has been out quite a while now too but the wolf is a recent release from Sheena's Call of the Wild set.

That wonderful intence darkness of the woods has been created using sparkle pens with colour lifted out.  The wolf was stamped on to the sparkle pens and the ink lifted from him then covered in glossy accents to give him some dimension.  The house was actually stamped first, covered in drawing gum and the sparkle pens drifted straight over the top, then the drawing gum rubbed away.

With a bit of creativity and imagination, I have tried to give light to the house from Little Red Riding Hoods lamp with the use of distress ink working with the lifted colour from the trees and the sparkle pens.

The trees have been created using a Clarity Stamp stencil and black soot distress oxide before the lifting of the colour from the tree trunks -hope I'm making sense!!!!.

I will enter this in to this weeks Allsorts challenge of fairy tales and nursery rhymes:-

Hope you like it!

For International Womens Day..........

Good morning!

Thought I'd join in again at Allsorts this week with my entry for their feminine theme of "Ladies Only" in recognition of International Womens Day tomorrow.

I have made an easel card for this one with lovely light blues.  The main stamped image is a favourite of mine from Stampin Up! and all the stamps here are from their Beautiful You sets. I just love this image, I think it gives a great feeling of freedom, strength and happiness in one hit!

I have popped on a close up here for you to show that I also cut the main mat in the shape of the International Womens Day symbol (it's the medical symbol for female - the circle with the cross coming off at the bottom).

Backing papers are from Phil Martin and a Tattered Lace beautiful lacey round die cut mat too.

Finished with a soft white ribbon to keep it feeling nice and feminine.

Lets get women recognised and live with passion ladies!!!!

Hope you like it, I'll enter this in to this weeks Allsorts Challenge of "Ladies Only":-
