I spy with my little eye something beginning with "B" at Allsorts..........

Hi there my friends!

Well, last week saw me turn 46 years old (oh dear!) and my very special friend Sandra sent me this lovely new lightbulb set from Inkylicious for my birthday (thank you so much special lady).

So, seeing that the challenge theme this week at Allsorts Challenges is "I spy with my little eye something beginning with B" I thought what about my new bulb stamp!  So I coupled it with the lovely daffodils which were a release by John Lockwood with Creative Expressions so I've got two lots of bulbs - a lightbulb and daffodils!!!!

I've created a background here with distress oxides having masked off the bulb itself and then having made a mask around the bulb I added the daffodils inside the bulb.

Acryclic paint was used for the spin art background.

The flowers are also new from Inkylicious (also sent to me from Sandra).

The grass at the bottom and the sentiment at the top are also from John lockwood with Creative Expressions and I've had those a while now.

I'd like to thank Sandra for being so generous, thoughtful and as kind as she ever is - you made my day!

Thanks for stopping by today,
Leanne xx

I'd like to enter this in to the Allsorts Challenge of I spy with my little eye something beginning with B:-

There are always flowers for those who want to see them..........

Morning!

Thought I'd join in with the Challenge this week over at Allsorts Challenges with their new theme this week of "handmade flowers".

Now, I've had this stamp a while and only used it a handful of times so out it came! It's called through the tunnel by Paper Rose and the sentiment is a Paperartsy one.

I have used sparkle pens for the background and lifted the colour out.

The flowers are the new paper quilling flower dies by Crafters Companion - the centres of the flowers have been quilled too.   I have touched the edges with Salty Ocean distress ink on these. Thought they looked nice on the banks of the railway as the train comes through!.

Thanks for stopping by today,

I will enter this in to this weeks Allsorts Challenge of handmade flowers:-

Mid month inspiration for Penny Black and More "Love, Hearts and Flowers".

Good morning folks!

It's mid month post time at Penny Black and More challenges for our theme this month of "Love, Hearts and Flowers".

Now, this is a truly rare creation for me as I don't usually do "cute and cuddly" but hey, I think the table is turning!!!!  I really did enjoy creating this card and it made me smile everytime I came back to it!!!  Made using Penny Black's 40-527 "purr-fect!" and 30-417 "delicate silhouettes" (love, from the with love sentiment) I went to work with alcohol pens, distress inks and some heart embellishments from my stash. I have also used a heart stencil on that background too.

Isn't this cute? There, a first for me but perhaps 2018 is the year that I start to bring cuteness in to my artwork????????

Well, if you haven't already joined us, pop on over to Penny Black and More Challenges:
for this months theme of "Love, Hearts and Flowers" but please remember, NO DIGITAL IMAGES ARE ALLOWED AND YOUR MAIN FOCAL IMAGE MUST BE A HAND STAMPED IMAGE PLEASE.
We have prizes for the winners too!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Pick up your paintbrush and colour your world.........

Good morning folks!

Here I am with an offering for you today using one of my most favourite stamps to come out of Crafters Companion recently.

I have used Rose Bloom by Stacey Barras.

There is A LOT of masking going on here as I've only used Rose Bloom (the main rose stamp) and two of the sprigs from Spring is in the Air.

The main flower has been stamped using the lineless technique by stamping with antique linen distress ink so that you can only just see the lines and when you paint, you lose the lines and it actually looks like a painting, not a rubber stamp at all!  The border has been stamped with black Stazon so that I didn't lose the lines when adding the aqua pens with a paintbrush and water.

The background is a distress ink one and I've pushed a circle stencil through to emboss the circles on there too.

All coloured with Spectrum Noir aqua markers and finished off with some small round bubbles (these are my spots) drawn on around the circles formed from the embossed stencil with white and black pen and with a tiny drop of glossy accents popped on the top for perfect little bubbles.

Some lines have been added with an old scraper using distress oxide Vintage Photo and white and black pens.

The sentiment is one from That's Craftys own brand.

I hope that I've managed to make the rose "pop" as this is an all on one layer card.

Mat and layered in black, deep red and purple to match the flowers.

I will enter this in to Stamping Sensations challenge this month of "Anything with Flowers"

and Allsorts challenge of "Spots and or Stripes"

I am kept so very busy these days with my design team work that I have very little time to enter and enjoy the challenges that I always used to so I had as the song goes "one day only" to create for a challenge and so, I went for Stamping Sensations and Allsorts - two of the best!

I hope you like this one, it's been good to relax and make something straight off of the top of my head for a couple of challenges - rare now but nice to do every now and then when I can.

Thanks for stopping by,
Leanne xxx

New Challenge at Penny Black and More Challenges - Love, Hearts and Flowers.

Good morning!

Here I am with a piece of inspiration for our new challenge over at Penny Black and More Challenges.  Our new challenge this month is "Love, Hearts and Flowers" so love or Valentine's here we come!!!!

I have used one set of Penny Black stamps for this creation and that was 30-391 "All About Love" set.

I started by stamping those lips, masking them off and then stamping the word "love" but not stamping up the "o" so that the lips took the place of the "o". The background is distress inks with the use of a round stencil.  I have added further red lips and cupids and some hand drawn hearts and finished by adding glossy accents to the central lips.  The background mat has been stamped using further stamps from this set. Mat and layered in black and silver glitter card.

Please come along and join us at Penny Black and More Challenges, there are prizes for the winners BUT NO DIGITAL IMAGES PLEASE AND YOUR MAIN FOCAL IMAGE MUST BE A HAND STAMPED IMAGE.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you've enjoyed your visit!
